Background of Students and Teachers
This language education website was primarily created to help English language learners at Kigali Health Institute (KHI). These learners are in two categories: students and employees. Students are aged between 19 and 40's but most of them are in their early twenties. Their ESL background variation reflect their age diversity. Most of young students have a better ESL background since they started learning English language from their primary education. As for older students, most of whom are admitted after taking an entry exam, they started learning English in their second year of secondary education in a system which did not put emphasis on this language. KHI employees who need to learn English are much similar to the institution's mature students in terms of ESL background and age variation. They are, however, more experienced than those students in terms of learning since they have at least a bachelor's degree. This website is created to help the two groups of learners. In this regard, it contains links to both Medical English and general English resources.
